Arizona Derby Dames Triple Header Banked Track Roller Derby Playoffs
& Concerts by Authority Zero, Unwritten Law & The Earps
Saturday, August 20th at Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum

Phoenix, AZ (August 6). It’s time for the Arizona Derby Dames post season and this year they bring you their biggest event ever! Triple header banked track roller derby coupled with live punk rock performances by The Earps, Unwritten Law and headliner Authority Zero. Arizona Derby Dames put it all together with the help of HDE Agency and call it Punk Rock ‘N Roller Derby.

The Arizona Derby Dames playoffs pit 2nd place Bombshells against 5th place Schoolyard Scrappers for game one, 3rd place Runaway Brides vs. 4th place Brutal Beauties for game two and then the winner of Game 1 vs. the winner of Game 2 to determine who heads to the championship game in September. The winner of the playoffs will face the undefeated Coffin Draggers for the trophy on September 24th at Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Between each game will be live concert performances by The Earps (between game 1 and 2), Unwritten Law (between games 2 and 3) and Authority Zero (following game 3). Fresh off a European tour, Authority Zero returns to their native roots with a headlining performance at the Punk Rock’N Roller Derby. Eager fans are counting down the days until this local band, turned international sensation, rocks the house—local style. Joining Authority Zero in concert will be Phoenix-based band, the Earps and San Diego natives, Unwritten Law. The Earps will open up the show with their catchy beats and honky tonk mix of country, punk and rock-n-roll. Then, get ready for Unwritten Law’s high energy performance. Unwritten Law has been credited as one of the major players in the pop-punk movement that swept the Southern California area throughout the 90s with their urban sound and punk rock edge—truly a great band to see perform live!

Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum is located at 1826 W. McDowell Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85007 (602-252-6771). Doors will open at 2:00 p.m. with the first bout starting at 3:30 p.m. General admission tickets for the stadium seats in the Coliseum will be $25. General admission for children 12 and under is free. VIP tiered seating right off the floor (with access to a nearby VIP only bar and restrooms) will be $35 for adults and children. For $125, one hundred fifty general admission tickets are available for standing room on the floor during the concerts complete with a back stage meet & greet with the bands featuring food and beverages by Sailor Jerry and Pabst Blue Ribbon. Parking will be $7. Tickets will be on sale the day of the event at the Coliseum box office starting at 1:30 p.m. Advance tickets may be purchased at punkrockroller.com. Follow the Derby Dames to Chopper John’s at 2547 E Indian School Road for their 21 and older after party immediately following the bouts.
